PRESENT
We're on the roof of Shoreditch House. We're sitting in the corner on some sunloungers and we're surrounded by an awful lot of people because there's not much space. The sun is just about to set. There's nobody in the pool at the moment but there were earlier and every sun lounger has got a person on it. The sun is just casting a shadow in the top left hand corner, where a B-list radio DJ was sitting but has now left. I can see quite a few buckets of Champagne and wine, no more bikinis because it's got too cold. Quite a lot of plastic sunglasses in random colours. There are quite a lot of gladiator sandles around the pool today, i imagine there are a lot of gladiators without anything on their feet right now.
FUTURE
I imagine the people will be quite similar but maybe wearing silver space outfits. I think probably there will be more automation, so maybe we would have little buttons by our sunloungers so we can call the waiters. Maybe we'll have shades we can just push the button and they'll go over our heads and protect us from the rays because I imagine there wont be much ozone layer left by that point. Maybe there will be some sort of conveyer system that brings us the drinks so perhaps we can just punch in what we want and it will just arrive by our sunlounger.
I think the people will be the same. They'll probably all be slightly insecure, and all looking at each other to check out what each other's doing, possibly taking the piss out of each other.
